Re: JuneBugs chat - Oct 23rd-29th

I am thinking of telling the in-laws and my parents pretty soon, I see no reason not to, plus even if something were to happen they could be there for grief support. I won't tell people on facebook until I'm positive this is a healthy pregnancy, it is sad to hear from people they are expecting only to find out later they miscarried, I think that is why people want to wait til the second trimester, I'm just so excited!

I haven't told every one and I want to. But at the same time I'd rather wait. I really don't want to tell my dad.

Many wait until 13 weeks as the risk of miscarriage drops dramatically at this time. But it's completely up to you. I generally tell only those I would turn to in my time of need until I feel confident.

I woke up and it took me a minute to realize it was a dream.

8 weeks-2days!! Only 5 more weeks of feeling like crap!! We told family and close friends already- we are crazy close and it would be hard to keep the daily naps and current food issues a secret. We spend almost every day with a sister (I have 3) or my parts. We all live in the same area and two of us are current shams!

Kelsey, why aren't you "able" to tell anyone? It's up to you!
Some people wait bc of worry about m/c, possible nasty comments, to delay the nosyness, etc, etc. From MY opinion, for me (and I have had a m/c), we tell right away. Everyone. It is something to be celebrated and if we lost the baby, then we are mourning alone, and it doesn't feel right that I would had not given my mom the chance to know I was pregnant and then she finds out I lost a baby. Life is....many things, ups and downs. So for me, I choose to let people in on the good and the bad. But I respect others' opposing views on the matter.
