Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. DH was sad but understanding. I think we'll keep NTNP for now. I'm older. I get it that my time might be ending (for getting PG again). If it happens, it happens.

I did want to clarify this though. I did have bleeding after DTD, but I am pretty certain that the actual mc happened 3 days earlier. I had had horrible cramps that day, but since there wasn't any blood I assumed I ate something bad (though in the back of my mind I thought Oh no the baby).

I think the sex merely made the bleeding start. It would have happened one way or the other but that happened to be the catalyst. I don't think the sex had anything to do with the mc. The HCG was so low the next day that it was clear the PG had been over for at least a few days prior to the test.

We will probably be more careful about DTD in the first trimester if we get PG again, but I didn't want to leave anyone with the idea that sex caused this (if even tagentially). While it isn't all that comforting an idea, I tend to believe the science that says mc are because of chromosomal problems or other biological reasons and that they are simply not really caused by anything we do or don't do (the obvious exceptions notwithstanding). I would feel horrible is someone else thought that she shouldn't enjoy intimacy with her SO because of my story.
