Your title made me smile, I love Princess Bride!

I would try different things that have cheese, like macaroni or pizza or anything else you have had recently. Or maybe something you grilled, like chicken? I havent dealt with this one yet, my 2 year old is very verbal and pretty clear most of the time, I'm sure it will happen eventually though.

Yikes, that would be funny and frustrating at the same time. My DD calls pretzels "ka-kas" like.. you would call something nasty? lol.. she screams that she wants "ka-kas" and it took us forever to find out it meant pretzels? lol

I could totally hear Indigo Montoya (or however you spell it!) saying that to Vincini! I love that movie.

Kids are so funny!

For a while when my son was around 2.5 he somehow got the phrase, "I promise" in his head. So, whenever we would say something he didn't like or not let him do/have something he would say, "But Mom, I promise." He would say it, yell it, and throw a tantrum while saying it. But it made no sense. Him: "Mom, I want to go to grandmas." Me: "No. we aren't going today." Him: "But, Mom, I promise." I tried to tell him it didn't make sense. I would say things like, "you promise what?" But, of course, everyone knows you can't reason with a 2.5 year old It was frustrating, but makes for a funny memory.

That's funny. Dd has started saying "almost" but not correctly at all. Like, she almost liked trick or treating. (she LOVED it) She almost likes princesses. It's too funny.

Toddler words crack me up. James' new thing is "dis easyhard." whenever he's struggling with something. I couldn't imagine knowing exactly what you want and being totally unable to get it for yourself OR communicate your need to someone who can help you.

Hehe, this reminds me of a few things my girls do. They ask to go the the "Peach Burger King that used to be the white Burger King". Yes, it was white and then they painted it. My 2.5 yr old just recently started asking for "more" of whatever she is eating. We tell her "You don't need more, you have plenty". She responds "I don't want plenty, I want more!".

My DS doesn't say much either though he is getting there. Most of the time when he wants something he points and bables. I ask him what he wants and he says "that, that" pointing to the general direction or "thataway". I usually pick him up and let him show me what he wants.

BUT...I totally want grilled cheese now...I know what I'M having for dinner lol.

I love this thread!

My dd isn't talking yet, I can't wait for some of these to be fond memories of ours someday.

lol, whenever my daughter was hungry when she was two, she'd yell "CHEESEBURGER!! We finally figured it out, because there were two times we got her a cheeseburger when we were out and about and she was hungry. It's probably the only times she had ever been hungry, so she thought the solution HAD to be a cheeseburger!
