Its not a lot but I have started!

I downsized half of the items in my kitchen island!
I gave away the odds and ends that were reusable and recycled the 1 & 2 plastic. Ug, I have a bag of Tupperware that is missing lids or bowls and I don't know what to do with it and I cant toss it in the trash

If you are going to get rid of the Tupperware (if it is really Tupperware), donate it! They will sell the bowls without lids, and probably match up some of the lids with bowls they have.

Good for you mama! One step at a time and you will get it done. Good idea on donating the Tupperware.

What are you planning on working on next?

A few real tupperware and some of the ziplock stuff.
Next up is the kids cupboard with the sippy cups and all those horrid random parts

I wish there was an exchange somewhere for mismatched plastic. I have a stack of storage bowls and lids in my garage for when I lose or break a piece of the ones I use.

Re: Its not a lot but I have started!

Awesome job! That's what is #1 on my list to do after the holidays. We are going to get the kitchen remodeled in 2012 so I want to simplify the kitchen as much as possible. I'm going to get rid of some stuff that I know I won't use but I will still have a bit that I know is going to take DH a little while to give up.

I use Tupperware like that for dog bowls. Maybe the animal shelter wants it?

Or a preschool might be able to use the lid-less tupperware.
