Re: Explain to me about cloth and circumcision
I scanned responses, so hope I not repeating too much. For one, there are different methods of circing (I was unaware when my guy was done). He had the pastibell and while the care was simple-there was none really-there are actually a lot of complications of adhesions (we dealt with this). So I think someone else suggested on buffing up on the different techniques and ask what your doctor will be using beforehand, so you can familiarize yourself with the proper care. We used pf's and I felt like they were too rough and caught the pastibell piece too much so I used disposables for a bit. I wasn't aware of fleece liners and such.

Wow what drama. Just cut up fleece squares and throw them away. You just want to keep the goods clean, while protecting the dipe from vaseline.

I had found a non petroleum jelly at our local health food store. I used that with the gauze and never had problems with our cloth diapers.

I remember reading that some mamas used lanolin. My little man is getting circ'd next week, so I'm going to ask if that is okay to use rather than petroleum jelly.
I also bought Flip inserts in case I need to resort to sposies. |

Re: Explain to me about cloth and circumcision
This totally. We had no issues w/ the diapers doing it this way.

We kept our kiddo intact, but moms told me that you didn't have to do anything.
Good luck! Hope you find the right answer. Last edited by knodceo; 11-11-2011 at 06:29 PM. |

Re: Explain to me about cloth and circumcision
You can find great deals on a yard of microfleece at the fabric store. I'm just going to cut it up into small squares and throw it away- will maybe cost $5 total. I'd rather not use sposies if I can help it.
