Yes.

We were in the hospital for 5 nights and they were more than accomodating for him to stay each night.

I was so happy with our hospital. They don't try to boot you out if you're cleared to go but your babe isn't (my daughter was jaundiced). Another mommy Iknew from prenatal was able to stay at the hospital for a month+ while her pre-mature son got strong enough to come home!

For my first one, yes. My second one, no.

I wanted DH home with DD when DS was born. It was easier for her to keep her night routine and DH is not good with not sleeping in his bed. My mom stayed with me for 2 nights, then I did the last night on my own after my c-section. It wasn't bad. I actually preferred being alone the last night. I definitely needed someone there the first night and really probably the 2nd, too.
