If you BFP before Christmas...

Do you plan on telling people for Christmas? If so, how? Or, just pretend you are, and share how you would if you were.

Re: If you BFP before Christmas...

Yes, we're hoping for a BFP before our family Christmas get-together. I think I'm going to sign the cards "DH, me, DS1, DD, DS2, and baby-to-be" and see who gets it first.

eta: I've changed my mind. Just got a BFP and if this one sticks, I'm keeping it under wraps until our u/s. I'm thinking it's another chemical though.

Re: If you BFP before Christmas...

I am really hoping although this will be our first month TTC so I don't think it will happen I would love to wrap a gift at Christmas with a note. Not exactly sure what I would say yet.... but not even tell DH that I had a BFP. Than the whole family would get to know at the same time on Christmas Eve. I would LOVE to see DH face when one of my siblings opens the present and announces it out loud.

Re: If you BFP before Christmas...

I was hoping to tell DH's family at Thanksgiving, but not tell everyone right away. Just leave a positive test in the bathroom and wait for someone to find it. I thought it would have been hilarious to take an empty beer bottle, fill it with applejuice and even tell people 'look, if I were pregnant, would I be drinking all this beer? It must be DH's cousin.' Or something. Not sure what I'll do if we get it before Christmas. An ornament hidden discreetly on the tree, for Mom to find as she takes it apart the week after?

I'm thinking about sending out our photo cards with the family pic and then on the side have the pictures of DS, DD, and an u/s picture

Re: If you BFP before Christmas...

I am hoping for a BFP before Christmas too--we've been TTC seriously since July (but on and off for 5 years). This is my first cycle on Clomid and we are feeling hopeful (again). If possible, we will wait until 12-13 weeks to announce a pregnancy. I've had too many losses

Re: If you BFP before Christmas...

I would just tell DH. I haven't even ovulated yet this cycle but if my O day stays the same I would be 10 DPO on the 25th. I am hopeful!

If this cycle goes as predicted I would get a BFP right before Christmas. I would probably tell my mom but not anyone else. I wouldn't want to tell anyone that I wouldn't need to help me through a loss. I'm 38 and have high FSH so I am at fairly high risk for a loss. This my rest cycle between treatments sobi am not super hopeful anyway.
