Re: Cloth wipes ~ please help

right now I am using CHEAP (like really CHEAP) baby washcloths...you know - those ones that come in a pack of like a dozen and are super thin - totally useless as a real washcloth - but PERFECT for a itty bitty hiney wipe. Once my kids are bigger (ie. bigger hiney) I like sherpa / flannel wipes.

http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/...d.php?t=656999 I loved these wipes with DD. Flannel/Terry was my fave. The flannel is soft for wipes with every change and the terry makes cleaning nasty/sticky messes super easy. We had about 30 we used for wipes and probably another 20 or so for faces, hands, and messes

I have some I bought from her and have bought for 2 friends as gifts. Great quality, great size, and lots of choices for prints. And she's super nice and fast!

My favorites are bamboo velour. They're luscious.

Re: Cloth wipes ~ please help

We use Grovia & Thirsties wipes (I'm not crafty enough to make my own with a seam!) Thirsties are my favorite. For our wipes solution, I make enough to go in a spray bottle (It lasts about 2-3 weeks I think) 2 cups of water, 2 Tbs baby soap/wash, 2 Tbs olive oil (or any carrier oil), a few drops of tea tree oil. You can use lavendar & vanilla oils if you prefer I just use the tea tree because it is antibacterial/antifungal. Hope that helps!

Yes I use olive oil, California Baby Calming Wash and a couple of drops of Tea Tree Oil...I get the store brand olive oil for my solution and it works better than the more expensive brands for some reason....I got the recipe from my wipes warmer instruction booklet. Hope this helps :-)

I use terry wipe warmer size wipes. Saves me from folding. To lazy to make my iwn solution. I use a squirt of cjs carcass cleaner in a squirt bottle filled with water.

Where to buy: try hyena cart as there are lots and lots of WAHMs who make really cute ones.
How to make: simple version cut up old flannel, nice version - flannel on one side and velour on the other (very nice)

Solution: I make my own solution with water, tea tree oil, baby massage oil, California baby soap. If you want a nice sell then just add essential oil instead of tea tree oil.

I first bought GMD birdseye wipes. I like them for a messier clean up and for non-dipe work like spit up and DS's runny nose. They are getting a lot softer, too. And I understand they'll be good for all kinds of household cleaning after we PL.

Recently got some bamboo velour from Tickety Bu and love them! They make me happy. But I worry about them losing softness?

I used diluted CA Baby spray at first. Used that up and got Homestead BAby. Think it might be a tad too harsh for DD's skin? Not sure. I water it down a lot which seems to work. I also occasionally use a spot of real soap (castile or baby wash or a tiny bit of Hibiclens) to get rid of any lingering bacteria after a wet, messy poo or when DD gets red at all.
