Longest you've gone without AF?

This is my first experience breastfeeding, my DD is almost 26 months old. She nurses at night, in the morning, after work, pretty much whenever she wants it when I am around (I work f/t). I am trying to wean her down to nursing before nap/bedtime and during the night (we co-sleep) but it's not going that way.
Anyway...my main question is that based on how much she is still nursing and the fact that I still haven't had a period (not complaining!!) I'm trying to get a feel for when I might expect it back. So, if you've nursed this long, what was your experience with getting AF back?

I had mirena for nine months and got it out, didn't even have a period and I was pregnant. Then after I gave birth I nursed One full year with only spotting no actual period until DD was 18 months then Had my period return for 3 cycles then pregnant again then after DD2 still haven't had AF and baby is 9 weeks.

I wondered this too. Normally, I get it back around 5mo when I go back to work and only pump every 4hrs. I'm now a sahm and my guy will be 9mo and so far nothing. I'm wondering when I'll get it. If it seems your supply is lessening, does it mean it's returning? I might be crazy, but I feel like I have less milk.

Re: Longest you've gone without AF?

With DS, I got it somewhere between 6 and 9 months and I nursed him till he was 2.5 yo (not exclusively for that long obviously). I think it's different for everyone and not always dependent on how often you nurse.

20 months here, and even now it comes once every 6-7 weeks and lasts 24-36hrs.

Re: Longest you've gone without AF?

We're almost at 12 months and still

For what its worth, LO still nurses about 3-5 times during the night and about every 1.5-2 hrs during the day. I think we average about 12-14 nursings per 24 hrs. LO only recently started eating solids. Before it was a bite here and a lick there... nothing really. Now he'll eat anywhere from .5 oz - 3 oz of food per day. It hasn't changed how much he nurses at. all. though. He just loves "nana"!

I didn't get AF back until I quit pumping at 18.5 months. DS is still nursing now at almost 21 months. He still nurses 3 times a day and all night long. The daytime with no pumping at work was my trigger.
