So dd is 6 months today...

I'm debating if I should start her on solids right now or not. I mean, should I just try? You think after 4 kids I'd remember what's what.

So, start her or not...that is the question. She is about 16 lbs and exclusively bf right now...

I would try...
We took the BLW approach and gave DD a whole banana when she turned 6 months and she had fun with it.

Can't hurt to try.

If she's interested, yay! and if not, then you wait and try again later.

I gave her some mushed up banana today (with lots of water in it) and she wasn't impressed. She dribbled it out and then she was done lol. I will try in a few more days. I'm not going to push the issue .

We did the same thing when dd turned 6 months (two weeks ago). She still is not interested too much and everyone around me is pushing me to give her a steak dinner at this age! Oh well, I figure she will eat when she is ready.

Yes, I think the same thing! I haven't even tried again. She nurses so much (and loves it) that I figure that it's fine for now. Plus her thighs are so super chunky, I'm afraid I won't be able to get her pants on if she pudges out any more.
