Is it bad etiquette to:
list something on FSOT for more than what you paid?
Have you ever done it? Why or why not?

Re: Is it bad etiquette to:
I don't think I would, but I don't know if there is an unwritten rule?

Re: Is it bad etiquette to:
I see nothing wrong with it. If you got a great deal, good for you. If you can sell and make a profit, even better. If you're priced too high, the market (lack of interest) will let you know.

Re: Is it bad etiquette to:
I think its bad etiquette (or maybe just bad karma) if you low balled the person you bought it from with a sob story about how you couldn't afford it but needed it.
But usually, I don't remember what I paid for stuff. I just sold off several pieces of HTF wool and I asked the going rate for them. I have no idea what I originally paid for any of it, since I bought it all 2+ years ago. The one pair I kept I bought recently and I paid what I sold the others for.

Re: Is it bad etiquette to:
As my dear old Mama would say, "Whatever the market will bear." Meaning, if people are paying $18 average for a dipe, and that's how much it will sell for, then that's what you can ask. I don't think it really matters one way or another what you have paid for it. It's whatever the market will bear. How many times have you paid a lot for a dipe and then only been able to sell it by lowering the price and losing money? I think it all works out in the end.

Some diapers I have sold I've made money on. Some I've lost substantially. It all averages out. I only think it is wrong if you tell a sob story to get it- knowing you will just turn around and sell it for profit.

I personally wouldn't, unless it was something I happened to get new on sale and there was a high demand for it on here.

Re: Is it bad etiquette to:
Nah, I find it really shady. I would never do it but know lots of people do.

Re: Is it bad etiquette to:
I will generally sell it for what I paid plus $3-5 extra for shipping. If I got a great deal, I will try to give another mama a good deal too!

Re: Is it bad etiquette to:
If I got a good sale on something I would probably list it for what it would go for, even if I paid less. But honestly people will offer what they are willing to pay, so it doesn't really matter how you list it.
