Smile As simple as I could get- newborn to potty learning...

2 hanging diaper pails (like FB)

30-36 wipes
wipe warmer (I fold wipes pull up style)
Dr. Bronner's baby mild to make wipe solution
Tide powder and Dawn to wash
diaper sprayer (could wait on this until baby is eating solids)

48 preemie prefolds (I lay out 2 flat and snappi on- so 24 diapers)
6 fleece liners or CB suedecloth insert sock for overnight stay dry
3 nb/xs fleece covers (snap preferably)
3 xs Thirsties PUL covers
2 snappis

xs (there is a difference)
12 xs Fuzzi Bunz
12 hemp babies little weeds as inserts for xs FB

18 Smartipants OS
18 flip organic inserts for SP medium/large rise setting
6 hemp babies little weeds (would use hemp babies for small size)

4 bamboo MEOS with bamboo snap in liners (use fleece liners or insert sock)
4 medium joey bunz premiums
2 medium sbish soakers
2 small fleece soakers

overnight toddler
4 pull up pocket trainers suitable for overnight

I would start with the nb/xs and then buy the os/overnight stashes when baby is starting to fit into smalls well and sell the nb stash except for little weeds and insert socks. Then the trainers once my toddler is almost out of diapers during the day.

Re: As simple as I could get- newborn to potty learning...

Ooh, fun! Here is my "as simple as I can go" stash. I consider "simple" to be streamlined, numbers of each diaper could be adjusted for different budgets. I am pretty close to this stash, although the numbers are slightly different and I have a bunch of iv covers in preemie-lg. Even though it means lots of sizes, I just loved bsww over sized snappied prefolds- that is the base of my stash. I also work PT, so need 3 days of diapers to allow a little laundry flexibility.

30 nb prefolds (gmd orange ub or organic)
4 bss nb
6 bsww nb

24 sm prefolds (gmd yellow)
6 bsww sm
4 dappi nylon pullon (2 nb, 2 sm- sizes overlap)

18 med prefolds (gmd red)
4 bsww med
4 dappi nylon pullon (2 med, 2 lg)

LG (if needed; used for DS, who PL'd at 2.3 at ~31 lb)
12 large prefolds (gmd brown)
2 bsww lg
2 dappi nylon pullon (xl)

2 econobums covers (favorite for trifolding)
8-16 BGEs for diaperbag/childcare

6 med flats (ll)
4 flip organic prefolds
6 hemp doublers for night and/or preemie prefolds
2 small disana wool (infant)
2 large disana wool (infant-toddler)
2 flip covers (night for big toddler and DH)

2 each size 1/2 snappis
1-2 pail liners
2 zippered wetbags (childcare, otherwise 1 is fine)
36 wipes (warm water only for us)
Tide HE powder (for now)
aveeno diaper cream for rashes
somethink like CJs or other for mild issues
5-pack of bummis fleece liners for occasional stay-dry, cut up rec blanket for BGE protection if needed
E Oct 2008 (100% PL'd), Baby M arrived April 10 (100% CD'd)
Can't wait to CD again using my all cotton stash: GMD prefolds, LL flats, and BG organics!
