Wool and compression leaks

Is there anyway to avoid compression leaks in infant seats and when babywearing? We've had two poop leaks in the infant seat and when I wear him in my wrap I get that damp feeling on my stomach. I'm nervous now even putting him in his wool when we're out b/c I hate cleaning poop off of it.

Try using a more absorbent diaper or adding a doubler. I find that to be the most effective way of dealing w/possible compression leaks when using a breathable cover.

That's what I would suggest too.

Yup, def more absorbent diaper! Once I found the diaper for us, I never had that prob again. I usually use pockets when I leave the house though. Much easier.lol.

Can't do anything about the poop though, huh?! I started using PUL out of the house too but with the poop explosions in the car seat I'm leary to put him in wool if we're going anywhere!

IDK what kind of diapers you are using, but a well-made and absorbent fitted should help I LOVE Little Boppers OS fitteds...I only wish I hadn't waited until my toddler was 2 1/2 to try them. I can see these being a good fit for a variety of shapes and sizes.

I agree. You're going to have to find a diaper that fits your LO the best. A really absorbent diaper will not leak. Even with wool.
For us, SBish and Goodmamas work really, really well. They might not work for others, but they're awesome for us.

I have some NB Little Boppers that still fit, I've loved those. I'll have to keep my eye out for some OS. So far I've only tried ODC OS.

The only time I had lots of poo explosions were when the diapers were too small or too loose around the legs. When you use pul, do you use a fitted under, or a pf? Or a pocket?

I use pockets or AIO's. I've never had a poo explosion at home or anywhere else, one 2x in the car seat. Once he was wearing a Little Boppers fitted and today a FB Elite OS and it was just a small amount of poo that got out but enough that it got on his pants.
