Stenosis of cervix from c/s scars?

Obviously TMI here, LOL.

So I have been having 16 day, very erratic cycles. I would seemingly gush blood and then barely anything. I thought perhaps it was my body getting back on track, as my period just returned in May.

Not so much, it kept getting worse, so I went off to my midwife. She did an exam and said there was a lot of blood in my uterus, she thought it was hormonal and put me on the pill to help regulate it, but also sent me for an u/s to rule out cysts, etc.

The u/s showed it was not hormonal, but I had stenosis (narrowing) of the cervix. Got referred to an OBGYN She said my scar was right there and she believes that is the cause. I have a lot of fluid backed up in my uterus as well as the narrowing.

So I am scheduled for a hysteroscopy and D&C to cut out the scar tissue (I know, sounds like a blast, right). It may not work and ultimately, a hysterectomy is the treatment. She did say she sees zero indicators of cancer but everything goes to the lab anyhow so they will check for that.

I have NEVER heard of this....anyone else had this issue?
