frequently shaving = worn out?

Will frequent shaving of woolies hurt them? I love how vibrant a pair of fresh shaved woolies look but worry doing so often may ruin them. Is there any truth to that?

Re: frequently shaving = worn out?

there is truth to it. Every time you pick a pill off of something you're taking some of the original fabric off. Theoretically you could shave until there was nothing left to shave! But i think that would take a while, a looooooong while. i hate pills, but i'm also a bit freaked out by shaving! i know longies (and all things really) can take a lot of shaving and be just fine, i just don't know how much until it gets to too much!

I don't really know, I haven't really owned any woolies long enough to find out if that can occur. I don't shave the inside of the woolies fwiw.

I had a pair of longies for DD knit on Gaia and I shaved them all the time and they seemed just as thick as normal.

Re: frequently shaving = worn out?

I have never had a problem with woolies being shaved too often because we tend to outgrow them before they have been washed and shaved that many time. But, I have a few used woolies (like we are at least the 4th child to wear these) that are made from the same types of yarn that I use a lot and they do feel a little thinner. So I guess the answer is yes, but probably not until you have used them on several kids.
