Prefold Comparison! Cloth-eez GMD, Diaper Rite, Imagine, OsoCozy, Zabi

I haven't read this whole post, but am having a hard time deciding which size to get. My son is 21 pounds at 17 months and is a peanut. I'm looking at imagines and diaper rites, but might consider gmd if they would fit better. What would you recommend? right now I have a few from cottonbabies, but want to a dozen more of something.

Imagine mediums unbleached. (Unless you think they would be too short.)

First of all I LOVE this thread!! So much incredible information here!!!

I'm looking for advice on which prefolds to size up to....

DD is on the small side, she is 11 mos and about 18lbs. We have a dozen organic yellow edge GMD prefolds that have served us exceptionally well up until now, but I think it's time to move up to the next size, and I'm looking for something that will be as versatile as these have been. DH prefers the trifold for ease of use, so I want something that can be trifolded into a Bummis med or size 2 thirsties duo. I'm getting a little more into pinning, so something big enough to pin would be great. And we use pockets for night (I like the stay dry liner) so a prefold that can fit into a os pocket dipe would be great too. I also have a dozen toddler size (not sure brand, but thinner than GMD) that are good for day use, so I want something in between. I had originally thought a dozen red edge GMD, but I had been wavering about skipping those and moving right on to brown. I'm worried that the brown edge would be too big and not fit into the bummis M covers. I'd definitely consider other brands too, just only know GMDs. Also, to go organic or not? I ended up with these just by luck, but they've been so amazing I'm not sure where to go from here!

If I were you, I'd go with the medium imagines (yellow-edge). They are inbetween the GMD yellow and GMD reds and perfect for trifolding on a medium setting! I want some too. lol

The GMD Reds & Diaper Rite Greens are about the same size, but IMO a smidge too long to trifold in a medium cover or on a medium setting. Great for snappi or pins though.

Which prefolds are larger than a GMD brown edge (specifically wider) and smaller than a toddler prefold? My boy was 24 lbs the last time he was weighed and I am sure is more like 25/26 now, and he is only 5 months, so I would prefer to not use a toddler prefold as they are so bulky and his clothes are larger anyway but I don't want to go much bigger, especially once we get into pants. I am already using a toddler snappi, and it is okay, but getting a little snug.

Take a look at the wide baby prefold at GMD! See the first 2 posts for pic comparisons and action shots! Wow 25 lbs at 5 months sounds like how my ds was!
