Prefold Comparison! Cloth-eez GMD, Diaper Rite, Imagine, OsoCozy, Zabi

Here's 1 of my wiggler tonight we wear ub imagine L/blue at night few weeks shy of 2 maybe 26-28 lbs. I don't use these during the day my zabi rainbow fit more trim for day but I like these at night.

I finally read through this whole thread and it is awesome! My question is: Which brand and size pf would be best for trifolding in the medium setting of the Flip covers and other similarly sized OS covers?

I have GMD red edge which are too long so Im worried about getting any medium pfs, but small seems like it would be too short.

Any ideas?

Eta: I was looking at osocozy better fit premiums. They seem like they would be a good size. Anyone have any experience with these?

The Osocozy were not as soft as the others I tried, not sure if they go through the exact same process when being made, or if it was just the batch I got. Cotton varies from batch to batch.

I would get size small prefolds for medium Flip setting if tri-folding the typical way. However, have you ever tried folding the short way? That is easier IMO. They just kinda fold quicker that way. If your baby needs mediums for absorbency, then I'd get those and fold the short way.

As far as Flips go, if you just lay a medium Imagine flat on the medium Flip setting, folding the short way, there is about 1.5" too much length. But if you tuck it in it fills the cover nicely. If you really want it to tri-fold most easily, you'll want smalls though. Typically speaking, I'd go one size down in prefolds when tri-folding into covers. HTH.

Thanks so much for chiming in and the help! How is your baby? I know we were both due in April. Mine was born April 21st so she is 9 months today! Wow time flies.

I trifolded the wrong way with my reds for my dd2 and although it worked, it was a little bulkier and I just wanted something less bulky this time around. This lo seems more sensitive to bulk and will not be as mobile with a bulkier diaper. I was contemplating just standard infants too. I will go check out the smalls on the sized pfs also. This is my last baby so I want to get every prefold I ever wondered about! LOL
