First mw or OB appointment?

How far along will you be when you go for your first appointment?

I'm going thursday and I'll be 4 weeks and 5 days. I'm hoping for a dating u/s (just because I want to see if there's one or two in there lol) but I doubt they'll do it on my first visit.

I'm not sure as I've been on vacation since I got my BFP! Going home tomorrow and you better believe I'll be at the hospital on Tuesday getting my blood work done and making my apt!

Re: First mw or OB appointment?

My OB won't even see you until at least 8 weeks so I went ahead and made my appt fo Jan 11. We're on vacation the week before so I'll be about 9 weeks when I have my first real appt.

Now since I'm in the hospital right now for my pancreatitis they went ahead and did an ultrasound for date confirmation and I was measuring right on and there is just 1 in there. Plus my OB has been working with my surgeon and she came in to see me today and basically asked me any of the same questions she would ask on my first appt. It was great to get confirmation because I was on pins and needles thinking I was going to have to wait unil mid Jan!

Re: First mw or OB appointment?

Going in the morning, but it's nothing exciting. Won't even see the Dr., just the MA.

First US is 1/11 (12 weeks).

So excited!

Re: First mw or OB appointment?

I think I'm kinda laid back. I haven't told the MW yet, but prolly will in the next couple weeks. Maybe set the first appointment for around 11 or 12 weeks or so.
I'm excited, but a little scared too! DD is only 10 months old (well, she'll be 11 months on the 21st).
That, and it doesn't feel real yet at all! I don't feel sick (a little wierder than normal, but not nauseus).

I haven't called yet. The clinic doesn't let you test until you are 2 weeks late anyway.
