Re: Harvest Babies Weekly Chat 12/19-12/25

I shower everyday because its the only thing that really wakes me up. I hop in first thing in the morning and literally wash my hair, wash my body, wash my face, jump out. Less than 5 minutes and the kids are usually in the bathroom playing while I'm in there and I can see them through the shower door. So, it's not like a nice long pamper yourself shower, but I need it because without the hot water I feel so groggy in the mornings!

Wow this thread has slowed down quite a bit.

AFM, I'm dealing with setting up different doctor appointments and dentist appointments. I'm thinking some of the dental work will have to wait but I was able to get an appointment at the local Endoscopy Center for Jan 4th.

I'm sorry Thia I'd have cried or yelled and made DH make me some dinner!
I did cry . I actually may have over reacted a little bit, but I think I was just feeling overwhelmed and that was the icing on the cake.

The food thing happened around here but I tend to get really cranky if I don't have food so now DH will ask before he eats the very last little bit. I wish he would save more sometimes but at least he won't finish the food without asking if I have eaten.
Maybe Dh has learned this lesson now.

Nicole-hope DD is feeling better.

Afm: we are still trying to get the tree put up, 2 days later and 4 days before Christmas! I haven't wrapped a thing, and there is a huge pile of laundry that needs to be folded. How am I ever going to do this when I have to go back to work?!?!?!

Thia- I would have been so mad......and sad too

I don't think others(DH/family) realize how much effort it is to do simple things like shower, make dinner etc. I know with me to shower if DH is not here, I have to bring baby into bathroom with me, so carry bouncy chair upstairs. Then set toddler up with toy or dvd. I can't have him in the bathroom as I can't trust him with baby of course.

Dinner- usually nurse baby before, make dinner, eat, clean up, then nurse again.....

I did good today and went grocery shopping quickly by myself, then baked two batches of cookies(nutella ones and smores cookies) and a pear bread. Then brought kids to the library to pick up some books on hold.

Re house - we are not too bad as I think I like to keep it fairly tidy for my sanity. Older boys help out, but toddler creates a tornado. I've gotten in the habit of cleaning up every night after him at least.

I'm really really tired though last week or so. LO has been waking up a lot more at night, maybe growth spurt and I'm just so tired, hit a wall in the evening. Suppose the xmas shopping, wrapping, getting ready doesn't help either.

Leanbh- I've been more tired than usual this week, too. I think the stress of the holidays plays into it, plus I've had a cold.

Heather - I woke up with a cold yesterday and a small migraine. Little better today so hopefully it will be gone for tomorrow and xmas day as that's a bit exhausing in itself!

Oh, I was going to ask if anyone else's LO has gotten the infant eczema/baby acne on their face/chest?

Funny as it came on about two weeks ago and now all of a sudden it's disappeared on it's own. Dr said it was hormones coming out of his body(from being in me?)
