Fennel tea and Infant reflux ?

My milk supply has seemed a little low lately, haven't been able to pump more than 2 oz a day, sometimes not even that much... So, I've been drinking fennel tea the last couple days and my dd has started having bad BAD reflux, you think it could be related to the tea? I also wanted to ask if there were any other kinds of tea I could drink to bring in more milk... I don't know if I can gag down anymore fennel tea, I like it, but after an entire box of it in 3 days, I don't know how much more I can tolerate.

Re: Fennel tea and Infant reflux ?

not sure about the reflux, but i wouldn't drink more of it than you want. the best thing you can do to up your supply is to nurse more frequently. i had a hard time with my supply for a long time and when i finally got in the groove of nursing more often it started to improve. to the point that i was able to kick the formula habit that i had gotten into. i just started nursing before and after every nap, and inbetween if the babies were interested. i also told my dh that i wanted to nurse more and to remind me of that, so if he saw me without a baby on my breast he would say "remember...". that was helpful to me, just voicing the intention. i know it sounds silly, but it helped. one of my babies has reflux too, but im pretty sure its not from the tea. try going off the tea and see if he improves. good luck! things will get better, keep on nursing!

eta: i just noticed your baby and i share a birthday! jan 12!
