False positive from waiting too long to read it??

Home now and took 2 tests... both -! Gonna take another one tomoro with first urine and see what happens. If i did get a false pos that will definately be a first for me!!

This was my initial thought with this pg, so I poas 4x and didn't look for awhile and they all had that faint shadowing. I am used to really dark bfp's. Not what I was thinking though, we're expecting #5 next June!

well... so far i've been getting negatives, so i'm thinking it was a *really* early miscarriage or a false positive. The hormones don't fluctuate, do they? They just increase?

I have taken 3 tests and all 3 have had a light line. the first 2 were week apart and the 3rd was 3 days after the second. any suggestions? is it a false positive?

Wow! This is crazy to read this thread again! It was over a year ago and we are ttc now! To the recent poster: I'm not an expert but I wonder how many dpo you are? If you are late to get your period and seeing faint lines I would go get checked out. Especially with how much time there has been between the first two tests.

if it was a blue line test than yes, you can get a false +
but if its pink, it was probably +. all my early testing + are way after the time limit. its only when I test at 12dpo that i would get an immediate +

how do you tell what the "dpo" is? in case you can not tell i have never een in this situation before.

Just for women tracking their ovulation. If you're not watching your cycle, you wouldn't know. Fair guesses though since a standard cycle is generally the same, you could make assumptions based on LMP.
