I'm down to 1987 cause I just threw a pair of my toddlers pants away at Walmart.

There was a big hole in the butt I never noticed!

Luckily we are potty learning so we had back up pants.

Charity pickup truck is coming again tomorrow, so I was running around like crazy gathering things up. 5 cookbooks, some mismatched Tupperware, 2 glass bowls, a ceramic teapot, a few clothes, etc.

Tomorrow, 4 small /medium boxes and 2 bags will be leaving my house forever! Yay!

I went through my pantry and was actually surprised only 3 things were expired and got thrown away.
So I'm down to 1984

Its a slow start here but this was a weekend to enjoy my husband since the big kids were gone.

I didn't count but I cleaned out the baby clothes. I kept my faves and that is it. Stuff I know I used last time that I liked, mostly zip up pjs and simple tees and pants. Not very many onsies as I hate this things. 4 trash bags gone! Well almost gone, one of my girlfriends is pregnant with a boy and she is coming to get them. Plus another bag full of donate/garage sale items that were girl clothes or random stuff in with the boxes.

I went from 4 paper boxes, 2 bins, 2 large space bags, 3 milk crates and 2 under the bed storage containers (really how did I manage that?! Scary) to 4 boxes clothes 1 bin clothes for this summer, 1 bin misc baby stuff like my pump and moby. I got rid of like half my baby stuff!!!!

This is me - there are piles everywhere. I can't even begin to imagine coming up w/2012 items unless the paper stuff counts. I think I'm going to make it a goal to go through the paper clutter and I will count it as items. I just won't count the incoming mail as part of it - just the items that have accumulated.

What about stuff you bring in? If I trade stuff on here does it still count as getting rid of stuff? Part of me thinks no b/c there is no net reduction to the stuff but part of me thinks yes b/c its a lot better than me just going out and buying the new stuff w/o the old stuff ever leaving? I guess that doesn't matter it shouldn't be huge amounts of stuff falling into that category.

You'll have to excuse me - I overthink everything and do nothing!

Re: 2,012 items in 2012

Today I got rid of a few more things: plastic bowl we brought ds's placenta home in, Halloween wreath, 2 sweater, train toy and returned my dad's rifle to him.
FIL is en route to our house. Not sure how much will be going out of the house in the next 4-6 weeks, but I'll do my best.
Total out:99

I'm starting to think I honestly don't have 2012 items to get rid of. I went through everything when we moved in October and got rid of thousands and thousands of things. I was pretty sure I could come up with more and still need to cut back, but I'll be surprised if I am able to get 1,000.
