New to sewing

I know super basics about sewing. Patterns sorta confuse me. Is there any good books out there to help me? Like a sewing for dummies lol or if anyone has one for sale pm me. Also what's the preferred fabric for making my own baby wipes?

I can't help with books. But if I were going to make wipes I would make them with bamboo double terry. I absolutely love that fabric.

Readers Digest Guide to Sewing. It was last printed in 1977 but is readily available on eBay. Best sewing book ever. I use it when I teach sewing all the time. Next most important book is called Sew Any fabric. Best books ever.
