I just added velcro to mine to avoid the snappi issue.
Otherwise just pre-test the fabric to see if the snappi will grab & hold it.
I made my wings too short! They were fine when she was born (less than 6 lbs) but by 1 1/2 months old she had out grown them! She just got too fat! (She was still shy of 9 lbs!)
I made mine with prefolds and just converted them. The directions said to take the extra fabric and extend the wings.... I guess I should have followed directions. I had only intended to use them during the newborn stage. We also used trifolded (sideways) prefolds in her covers with fleece liners that was actually the "easiest" way till she fit her pockets & AiO's. (no snappi or pinning!)
