Re: New Years Day food traditions
We didn't have any New Years food traditions growing up but I decided to start this year. We're going to have Hoppin' John tomorrow (black eyed peas) for dinner. I like your bunt cake idea - maybe I'll make a round coffee cake to have with breakfast - was already going to serve 12 grapes each for good luck.

Re: New Years Day food traditions
We do pork and sauerkraut.
And my in-laws refuse to eat chicken on new years as it is bad luck? I'm really not much into the luck thing, but I like to eat.

Re: New Years Day food traditions
Here it is tradition to have black eyed peas and collard green on new years day.
Most serve it with ham and corn bread but those are optional. It's the black eyed peas and collard greens that are supposed to bring good luck and wealth in the new year.
