Re: October babies - January chat

I took Ivy to the doctor last week, her eye was a little pink and goopy. No pink eye, but I got to weigh her! 10 lb 4 oz and 23.5 inches long. So, long and skinny. DH weighed 10 lb at birth, so it's funny to see her and think she's only a tad bigger than he was, when he was still inside! Eep.

Tristan goes for his 4 month appt on the 30th, I want to see how big he is getting! I weighed myself and then him and me, and if my scale is right he is around 13 and 1/2 pounds, the little chunker He is such an easy going baby, but has really found his voice lately with teething, dh said last night he sounds like a different child when he cries. I am nervous for a tooth to pop throught, but ready to see what all this fussiness lately is about.

That's when Ivy's 4 month is too!

I just bought her a amber necklace. I'm really hoping it helps to calm her down a bit, sometimes it feels like if she's awake she's screaming.

Tristan sleeps alot, and no I am not complaining, its just weird to me, my other 2 did not sleep this much during the day (that I remember). He gets up to eat a few times at night- I think it more teething than anything now, he was down to just one wake up at night before this started, but I wonder if he'd sleep longer stretches at night if I kept him up more during the day. How much should a baby be sleeping during the day at this point?

I'm going to talk to my Pediatrician about the whole sleep thing on Friday when we go for Z's "2 month" check up (he will be 9 weeks). I've heard so much conflicting information that I'm tired of trying to figure it out on my own
