I likes KL 0s okay but DS was a supersoaker from the get-go. I preferred Mutts Newborns, but, as PP said, they don't last long. It sort of depends on who is going to be doing the most changing. Due to PPD, etc., I wanted DH to be able to help out as much as possible (he's great that way!) and I knew he wouldn't dig the prefolds. But he got the hang of snaps really quickly once I showed him how to do it, and he was comfortable enough with it that he even volunteered when it was time to change a diaper.

Prefolds and covers or SB newborns if you don't like prefolds.

do they have a pattern for the vb preemies too?

its newborn but its pretty tiny. you could also alter the patern and take it in alittle all the way around if you wanted smaller. IMO the newborn should fit a 4-5 lber

I use mostly contours and pfs & litewraps you can get a cheap stash this way its not like they use it long plus contours go a long way and pfs can be used as stuffers later or as dust rags or burgp cloths. right now im drolling over the Hemp fleece contours at www.eapoos.com they look so cozy I want some for my next little one.

I used prefolds and contours with Bummis on my newborn with skinny legs.

Maybe that's why prefolds haven't worked well for us so far. When I have tried them he's saturated and starting to leak in 30-45min even doubled up!
