I am looking to try another detergent

I currently use RnG, but I'd like to try something cheaper. I used ecover before, but Ecover had me stripping to often. So I went back to RnG. I was thinking of trying arm and hammer or country save. Any thoughts on what cheaper detergent works best? Or should I just stick with RnG? I've got the money... I just hate spending that much. Guess I'm cheap LOL.

Re: I am looking to try another detergent

I am a if it isn't broke dont fix it kinda mama!
However, many mamas use inexpensive commercial detergents without issues, others use home made mixes. So there are cheeper options out there. I have had success with many detergents, so I wanted to have something that was environmentaly friendly, easy to obtain, not super expensive, and works well. I have been using droops for a while now and it meets all of my criteria. I also throw a little bit of babyganics in the prerinse (since dropps is in little packets, I cant easily throw a half "dose" in so that is why I use two different ones).

If you ask 20 CDing mamas you will get 20 different answers about detergent, so I am sure there are many options for you besides RnG.

Here are some detergent we have had excelent success with (liquid rinses better for us):
tide original liquid he
arm and hammer with oxy
gain

These have all proven to be excelent cleaners and rinsers for us.

Re: I am looking to try another detergent

I used Rockin Green for about a year before we moved. It worked great in Kentucky for us, but for some reason it doesn't work so well where we live now, Ohio. I recently switched to Ruby Moon and am VERY happy about it...It's around $10-12 for a 45/90 pack of detergent, and they come in really awesome scents!

Re: I am looking to try another detergent

I recently stared using Gain, no issues at all and the minor stink problems we had are gone.

Re: I am looking to try another detergent

I use white vinegar for a prerinse/soak, then Tide Powder (Clean Breeze Scent), and have had no issues since switching to my wash routine that I currently use! I use the regular cupful for a full dipe load, and just do 2-3 rinses

Re: I am looking to try another detergent

Tide is what we use. We have hard water and we need something with enzymes.

I love country save. We never have stinkies, repelling, or rashes. It's cheap, too. I got mine from amazon.
