I had my baby on November 12th after an attempted homebirth. Long story short, the midwife was horrible (in the process of filing a report) and I ended up with a c-section and an exhausted uterus. It's been almost 2 months an I'm still bleeding. It went away for a few days, and came back so I thought it may have been my period returning. It stopped again after over a week but then came back again, heavier than before. This was a couple days ago. How long are you supposed to bleed after? Could it be my period again?

With my first I bled for the entire 6 weeks! It would slow down or stop here and there. It was miserable! Are you overdoing it? I know with my second, it didn't last as long but came back full force when I over did it. I would contact your midwife and see what she says...or the ob who did the CSection.
So sorry you are going through this. It is incredibly miserable! |

Re: Still Bleeding...
mama. That sounds very traumatic Are you getting enough rest? I had an emotionally traumatic delivery and homelife w/ DD2 and then I was running around like a nut. I bled for 11 weeks straight and then after 28 days af was back even w/ ebf.

I would go get it checked out ...with dd I bleed for 8 weeks and it ended up that I had a teeny tiny piece of placenta left in me that was causing the bleeding

Re: Still Bleeding...
I don't know but in all honesty would go see an Obgyn or at the very least call & talk with a nurse at an Ob office. Just to make sure nothing is going wrong I would not think your period should start & stop then return again so soon...but I am not a dr. so I would call one to be on the safe side kwim?
I have never had a c-section & after all my births it just always slowed down to nothing & I bf so I don't usually start again for about 9 mos or longer. |
