Re: San Antonio
The only clubs I'm interested in is club soda to remove stains. I just wish I knew which neighborhood we were going to so that I could find a pediatrics dentist, eye doctor, homeschool group, and a soccer team for The Kid. I think that's what I'll need for now. The Hubby has a built in gps system for fleamarkets/farmer's markets so he's going to take care of that end lol

I get that you're a dude and the last thing you want to do is leave a place you're going to spend the rest of your life trying to get back into, but enough. Your room is really cool, come out and see it. Sincerely, Love Mummy ![]()

Dh & I are on the NE side of the 410 loop. Right by the airport actually. We rented our apartment blind (we moved from CT), I do not recommend that! We're in an "ok" area. We'll definitely be moving when baby comes. My cousin lives in Selma (her Dh is at BAMC) & my aunt & uncle live in Schertz. Those are both really nice areas.
Sent from my DROIDX that thinks it's smarter than me using DS Forum. Please excuse any typos!

Re: San Antonio
Well, here we have a good HS support network! P.E.T.A.L.S is one I've heard of http://www.homeedsa.com/default.asp On Facebook there is SANP (San Antonio Natural Parenting) & they have off shoot groups for homeschool, & food. I've bought workbooks from FEAST-https://www.homeschool-life.com/sysf...m?memberid=455. I know there's more but thats off the top of my head!

Re: San Antonio
Is Oakwell Farms a good area? I am trying to find places close to Ft Sam so I've been looking there and Alamo Heights. Going off of what I see on the computer it looks decent.

Re: San Antonio
There are HS groups?
I've been thinking about HSing. Do the groups get together and teach?

Some are co-op yeah Like you take a turn teaching I think. Mostly there are groups just for support, resource sharing & outings. There's a Relaxed Homeschoolers Group too http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RelaxedHomeschoolers/ I've seen them meet at some parks I've been to with the AP group.
