Re: Is anyone going to Babywear?

I've worn all 3 of my babes. Love my wraps for newborn stage around the house but grab my ring sling (made from a Didy - so soft!) for shopping. I have a 3rd generation Beco and 3 mt's when they are old enough to throw on my back. I almost sold everything. Diapers, slings, wool - everything. So glad that I didn't

Re: Is anyone going to Babywear?

We use a moby for the first little while. I am hoping to get a beco gemini with left over tax money... I wish there was a reasonably priced back carrier out there that would hold my monstrous 14 month old too (30lb and TALL). I haven't carried him since four months, because he was too heavy for the moby.

Re: Is anyone going to Babywear?

I'm getting a beco gemini. We tried it out in the store as well as a few bjorn models. I like that it can be forward facing and can be used on the back, once baby is old enough. Seems more versatile than the bjorn and I know there are lots of issues with back pain and the bjorn.

And the bjorn is a crotch dangler which isn't good for baby and mom/dad...beware of those.. we don't face out carry very much..we love back carries in it and it's very comfy.

have you tried the boba? That one was awesome for big kids! it held my toddler who was over 30lbs at the time and loooong. Definitely fit better than the ohsnap or kinderpack did for a big kid

Re: Is anyone going to Babywear?

Glad to see other wrappers on here! I have a didy, a rebozo, a DIY stretchy and guaze wrap, and an Ergo (which I don't care for until they're around 2). I plan to get another rebozo and another wrap for the newborn stage. My girls were born when it was cold, so I'd like warmer weather wraps. I'm thinking about a didy Leander silk waves for the shory and didy Jim salvia or other linen blend for the longer wrap. Also want to try a mei tai. What kind of mei tai do you recommend for a newborn?

Re: Is anyone going to Babywear?

Diane, I've seen lots of tutorials for wearing twins on youtube. I've seen double wrap jobs, but I think a double ringsling looks easiest for newborn stage... interested in what you'll end up with!
