We are dealing with crying and behavioral outbursts. I don't know if I could deal with throwing up :-(

Re: Sensory processing disorder

I just wanted to say thanks for this thread. I was looking at the list and saw my son has it. It makes so much sense. We have to have a sound machine at night, he will only sleep well on a bed that has those fuzzy velour sheets (it took us forever to find sheets he'd sleep on and I dread the day he moves to a normal sized bed because we will have to search again then) and so on. I know I have it and had it as a kid...I also have ADD and bet my son has it too. I'll have to read Out of Sync Child.

Re: Sensory processing disorder

It can be successful. It depends on my daughter's mood if I can do more than a minute of it but others have told me they have had lots of success with it.

We have lots of sucess with brushing. Were you told the proper way to do it? We also have great luck with our weighted compression vest. DD is 2 and wears hers for 2 hours on 2 hours off. Its been a great thing for us.

Yes I am actually trained in how to do brushing :-) I am a special education teacher but things are so different when it's your own child.
