Re: Newborns in prefolds! PLEASE POST YOUR PICTURES!!

I also recall managing to get DD into a fleece soaker when she was teeny. Not easy, but it was great over the cord. Soft and flat, loose in the right spot. But the cover was nearly impossible to get on her when she was teeny (Plus I think the person who made it sewed it with the stretch going the wrong way, not cool!)
This time I am letting the cord go white and limp before cutting it. I hear from many sources it causes it to fall of sooner.

My DD's cord fell off at three/four days so no pictures with the cord

This is an infant prefold at around 6 or 7 days old, under a thirsties duo wrap. Tiny behind shot.

Newborn Green Earth prefold under a fleece Stacinator (love these covers! So soft and don't bother the cord at all in the beginning!)

Sort of a side/front view of newborn prefold under the stacinator, sorry I don't have better pictures.

4 weeks old, doubled up newborn green earth prefolds (for night time)

4 weeks old in an infant prefold

also consider prefolds converted into fitteds. I loved these for my nb that I converted. Paired with wool/fleece/ or pul covers, these fit great.

Love this thread!!!! Such cuties!!!!

Here is my little bundle at less than a week with the cord still. She weighed under 7lbs here and is wearing a prefold and wool cover made by me. She still had her cord:

Here the cord is off and she is 3 weeks. She's about 8lbs 6oz. Another prefold and wool cover I made:

Another one of the same cover at 1 day shy of 4 weeks:
