Re: ANyone have experience with milk and wheat allergy?

Spelt is a type of wheat

I don't have time to write at the moment but DS and our house for the most part is gluten, dairy, soy, and peanut free. We did egg for for a bit to see if it was also a problem but eggs don't seem to make him react.

Can you get stuff shipped from Amazon or are the charges outrageous? We get a ton of our groceries from Amazon.

No only if the product is sold on amazon.de. But Germany does not carry that many US brands. Just a selection and mostly junk foods like oreos, heinz ketchup or a few cereals.

Re: ANyone have experience with milk and wheat allergy?

DH has a theory on the odd coconut theory. In german it is called kokosöl. I called it koko nuss oil, coconut and nut oil. So maybe that is why she said not to use it

I would approach it by eliminating the most likely allergens. The top 8 allergens are --

Milk
Eggs
Peanuts
Tree nuts (such as almonds, cashews, walnuts)
Fish (such as bass, cod, flounder)
Shellfish (such as crab, lobster, shrimp)
Soy
Wheat
Well he has never had dish, shell fish, peanuts or tree nuts.

SO I guess we shall start with wheat, soy, eggs and milk.

I am working out a meal plan for the next week. We had planned to shop today, but I am just not ready yet. I have to figure out how to rework our meals.

Re: ANyone have experience with milk and wheat allergy?

Our two MO daughter is also having reactions, really colicky, gassy, crabby in addition to eczema.

I had to eliminate wheat and dairy from my diet. I had a Taco Bell burrito yesterday and paid for it til 3am, who knew one burrito would cause sooo much trouble!

I used Aveno ecezma cream on her face and that seems to help. I also switched the laundry detergent for her clothes and mine, that seemed to help too.

I think eggs may also bother her, we haven't quite ruled those out yet, and peanuts too.

I'd start with Rice milk until you know if the Almond or Soy milk bothers yours. I've been eating a LOT of rice, Quinoa is also good too. I just bought some gluten free pasta, I have not tried it yet though. I'm italian, so I always ate a ton of pasta and cheese, so these last two months have been HARD, I basically had to learn how to eat all over!

I just had a grilled cheese for lunch, GF bread, rice cheese and bacon. Bacon makes everything better, yay bacon!

Yes to this. You will kill yourself trying to find a bunch of recipes or complicated meals without allergens especially if your grocery options are limited.
