Class picture

Dd1 brought her class picture home today. It has all of the kids' head shots from their pictures earlier in the year, along with their names. It also has the two teacher's aides and the principal (and their names, but not who they are), but her teacher is not in the picture. She's only had a substitute once, and that was in December, so I'm trying to figure out why she wouldn't be in the picture?!

Oh well- I didn't pay for it, it was complimentary and I'm not upset. Just curious. You'd think they'd be sure to put the teacher in the picture!

That is weird. Also weird that its not a real "class" picture and just everyones head shots. Maybe the teacher being left out was a mistake?

Re: Class picture

Our school did the sheet of all the head shots for a few years but went back to the regular pics last year.
We got a picture of the wrong class with the wrong teacher in our envelope I took it back in and haven't heard a word since. I must remember to go in and get the right one.

Re: Class picture

that's not uncommon to have the class picture like that...I personally don't like it (as a teacher)

and possibly the teacher was absent on the day the photographer was there?

Re: Class picture

No, like I said the only time the class has had a sub was in December, and the pictures were done in October. Looking closer at the pic, in the bottom right it says "Photo unavailable: Ms. M." So it apparently was left out intentionally! So strange! And so is the pic- I've never seen one done like that before!

My kindergarten class did the class picture like that back in '93-94.

Even if there was no sub it does not mean that the teacher was there if available during the photo

She may have been busy with something else...or they forgot to take her picture since she was busy corralling the kids to get theirs done

Re: Class picture

Could be also that the teacher doesn't like her photos out there? I have never heard of a teacher not being in a class photo, but anything is possible. Most schools have retakes so even if she was unavailable, she would have a retake done if she wanted it.

Re: Class picture

My sons preschool does the picture of all the head shots and the teacher and teacher aide but the teacher's picture was from several years ago and not current. Even the background was different from all the other pictures.
