Question Baby's position?

I'm feeling lots of movement on both sides of my belly and also around my belly button (a tad lower than that.) But mostly on my sides is where the movement is happening.
So, does that mean that they baby is transverse? I feel like she is most of the time and I feel like she's sometimes going diagonal in there, but how can I tell for sure?

Anyone?

Re: Baby's position?

I'm at 30 weeks and am having the same experience - it feels like she's in there sideways, or something. She really starts to kick when I lay on my sides, and it almost feels like I'm smooshing her head, or something. Lots of motion to the sides and down below, but nothing too high yet and I can still take a fairly decent sized breath.

Sorry I don't have any advice, just in the same or similar boat...

Re: Baby's position?

Well, some babies are just more active than others. My baby just flipped head down after being head down, going butt down and now we're back where we should be. Sometimes it feels like the baby is stretching out on both sides, but since I can't see, I have no idea what is happening.

A friend of mine had a baby who during her last 6 weeks, kept flipping head down/butt down every week. One week he'd be breech, then next he'd be head down. He was born head down though, and the mw said that some babies are just super active.

Re: Baby's position?

I am only 23 weeks bug I was having that and baby was transverse on the ultra sound. My DD was transverse through most of my first pregnancy too and did a bunch of flip flopping until week 36 or 37 I think. This is too early to even worry about it, in a few more weeks the baby will not have as much room to move around and then you will get strong kicks up at your ribs. What a thing to look forward to.
