When to get waxed before L&D?

I have been shaving throughout pregnancy but it has proved to be more and more difficult...i've never had razor burn until now. I have also used sugaring (a natural type of waxing) off and on and plan to do it again before delivery. How far in advance do you suggest getting it done?

Re: When to get waxed before L&D?

Do you have a set date? I had DH shave mine for me before each appointment at the end just in case. Worked out because I got induced after my 39 week one for high bp (had an induction date with DD1 and did it the night before). Of course, waxing lasts longer so you wouldn't need to do it each week. Not much help I know.
By the way, I used to live in Charleston. Wish we could go back!

No date set- i'm due Feb 4th. I was thinking about having it done at the end of next week (38wks) or beginning of the following week?!

38/39 weeks should be good. That way even if you deliver closer to 42, you won't have much hair grown in yet

Just a heads up - pregnant women can react different to waxes when they're pregnant. I've never had a wax, but I've had 2 friends get the most painful wax/burns of their life from brazillians while pregnant because your skin is so much more sensitive. Not trying to scare you, just something to consider!

An electric razor is much better than a wet razor. Phillips sells bikini perfect. It's amazing!

Thanks! I had originally planned on 38 weeks! Also, Sugaring is a natural "wax" made of honey, lemon and water i believe...it is not heated at all.
