This is baby right?

Got my Doppler the other day and want to make sure im thinking the right sound is baby's HB.

welll i would have to say "no" its not the heart beat. ONLY because if you listen to the thread i put up about the heartbeat, theres the "galloping" sound and then, similar to yours, the pulsing sounding. BUT...that noise is baby related. i've yet to have someone say FOR SURE if its the blood in the umbilical cord, the placenta or what. But...its baby...but im tihnking not baby heartbeat. maybe babys behind whatever is causing that pulse?

No that's not the hb. Like pp said I'm not sure exactly what it is.

someone else said on another site: The placenta should be the same as baby's HB but swooshy. The baby's heartbeat should be twice as fast as yours and sound either like galloping horses or a chugging train. And your heartbeat sounds swooshy but is a lot slower.

I got a doppler from a local mama and didn't hear anything with it. I had to put it away, obviously, so I don't get myself completely freaked out

Well poo. I would get that deep beat sound for one or 2 beats then baby would kick and move, lol. He/she must be behind whatever I recorded b/c I know it is tough to see but it was at 150. There are so many sounds down there it is hard to distinguish whats what. Maybe I'll try again tonight.

That's what I hear with mine. I haven't heard the galloping except with my SIL's doppler that she is renting and is a much nice doppler than mine.

That sound I am pretty sure is placenta, I asked my doc when he was looking for heart beat.

Sounds like baby to me! Esp if it was reading 150. My MW doppler sounds like that when she finds baby.

I think it's baby, you just aren't directly over the heart imo. When you get closer to the heart exactly it sounds more like the deep beat sound. True even at 24 weeks
