had my ultrasound, super nervous still

By LMP I am 7 weeks today. Going by possible conception date (had stopped charting) I would be a week less than that. Ultrasound showed me 6 weeks exactly. Doctor (an RE) said everything looked perfect, measuring perfect, he's happy. Too early for a heartbeat. He did said had we come in 2-3 days later we would have seen one. I will be seen again in 2 weeks, so at 8weeks exactly, then I'll be released to an OB, which is standard procedure there.

I know everything looked good. But not being able to see/hear the heartbeat really set my anxiety off again. Is this normal? ugh. Its gonna be a long 2 weeks!

Yes very normal! The waiting is the hardest part but when you go back you will see the hb for sure.

Ive had u/s done at 5, 6, 7, and 8 weeks and the earliest we ever saw the hb was 7wks 2 days.

I saw one at 6 weeks 4 days. I'm sure you were just off a couple days. Praying you see it at 8 weeks.

With this pregnancy and DS, my LMP dates were different by a week (11/29 this time, 12/5 DS) but conception dates are the same. I had an ultrasound Jan 19th with DS and we saw a heartbeat. So I know that we really were just 3-4 days off. Everything else was perfectly normal so I am happy about that. This RE really knows his stuff so I know he would have said something if it weren't.

Re: had my ultrasound, super nervous still

Congrats mama, I didn't know you were pregnant!!

Anyways, I wouldn't worry. I knew the day I conceived and the ultrasound showed I was a week behind. It showed a tiny flicker, but it couldn't be heard on a doppler (usually it can't until 12 weeks.) I was about 7 weeks in reality, and it was showing 6. Early ultrasounds can be way off. They changed my due date to what I thought it should be when I had another ultrasound at 12 weeks.

Don't worry just yet! I never saw the heart beat that early, either.

Was it done vaginally or abdominally? That can make a difference too!

vaginally.

He did look at my ovaries and saw a small corpeus luteum on the left, (weird hearing someone other than us say that lol) and he said I ovulated from that side. Seems like I only ever O on my left!

by presumed conception and by u/s you are 6 weeks...i'd assume you are 6 weeks and forget about lmp (b/c by charting, you know that means nothing unless you are a 28day ever month kinda girl)

I know, you're right I guess I was hanging on to the false hope that by NOT charting the past few months my LMP date would magically be correct. I knew in my heart that my O date wouldn't have changed that much for no reason. I guess I was just so dead set on hearing the heartbeat that I worked myself into a tizzy when we didn't. He was very happy with everything and I did get to see our baby which was a relief. And it also explains why my symptoms are still progressively getting worse, the worst is still yet to come most likely I'll take them!

Thanks for the reassurance mamas. Losing our last baby really, really affected me, even moreso than I thought.
