wow that sounds like a great idea! You know my husband has been feeling SO left out since I am BF this time around.
Mine will just bring the baby to me and say "here he is hungry", but he is very supportive with my no binkie or bottle rule for the first month. I think I wish he could breast feed too to help out :/

Re: A little blue today

I would definitely seek out a lactation consultant. One really good thing would be to weight the baby before and after you feed him so you can get a real idea of how much milk he is getting. Pumping is not a good indicator of whether you are producing enough or not.
Try not to worry too much. As long as he is wetting enough diapers you don't have to worry too much about getting dehydrated and such right away. It takes a while for everyone to settle in and learn to nurse
My oldest son was just not a good gainer. He was eating fine but is just a little guy. He is 7 almost 8 and my almost 5 year old is his same size. He doesn't have any health issues or anything but he had failure to thrive as an infant (no reason) and then he would gain a little and then stop for months and then gain a little. He is the only one of my kids like this too...

I didn't pump ever with my daughter because it seemed too hard, but it's been so nice this time to get 5 hours of sleep in a row!
