Diaper cover making mamas....

Is it possible to make a cover that is waterproof inside and cotton outside? I am making some more covers for dd and she is a weird shape so regular covers aren't working now. I really like the covers that don't have exposed waterproof fabric (like imse vimse or gen-y (older versions)and was hoping to make some with cute woven prints, but so far everything has leaked. I was using nylon with foe and woven on the outside but it leaked terribly. What about pul would that wick with the foe onto the wovens too?

You can do PUL with an printed outter, maybe try a poly print to cut back on potential wicking?

I have used the printed pul in the past but dd has trouble with the pul so that was why I tried nylon. But since it didn't work I was wondering if maybe I covered the pul it wouldn't bother her as much. But I think you are right I may just have to go with the printed pul or just buy the bummis with nylon.

Tell me about it, I went to joanns and got tons of cute wovens. Of course I cut them all BEFORE I tried to make one. Oh well at least I didn't waste anymore money trying it with pul. Guess I am making a bunch of fitteds tonight. At least she will have cute diapers under her covers.
