#3 kinda scaring me.......
Hi ladies!
Don't get me wrong; I am very happy to be pregnant with #3, but also scared! Not sure why I am feeling this way, because we have been planning this for a long time. We have a 7 year old and 2 year old. Since having 2 year old I have been saying I wanted another one, but now that it is here I am so nervous. I feel guilty that I feel this way, because this is a new feeling. I feel like I am cheating my other children of things. They are material things; such as Disney World trip this year, and things that don't really matter, but still feel it. I know that when this sinks in a little more I will feel better. Anyone else feel this way? Just need a little reassurance that I am not alone. Thanks

Re: #3 kinda scaring me.......
No, mama you are not alone. I am feeling that way too.
![]() ![]() ![]() My daughter is starting K5 in the fall right before I have this baby. And my son will start preschool in mid Sept right around the time I'm due, so I'm a bit stressed about all the new changes coming in Sept. I'll admit too, my kids are a handful. Seriously. I have some high strung kids. They are hard to keep occupied, hard to calm down, hard to discipline...you name it. They are the type of children that need stimulation constantly. My daughter in particular. I think she's so ready for kindergarten. Plus, the are 22 mos apart, so that's also been tough. The one thing is that with Alyse, my dd, in K5 along with my ds Nate starting preschool I will have two mornings alone with the baby & only my son the rest of the time. If I had this baby any earlier I don't think I could have handled it. Plus, Nate will be in K5 in two years which gives me 3 years alone with the baby. I know what you mean though.....but we will make it thru it!!! We have each other here on boards like this. I have some wonderful friends I've known since 2007 when my dd was born that I STILL talk to. I'm friends with the WAHM that owns LR Stitched & the WAHM that designed Silly Stripes and some of the other mom's that used to have their own business on hyena. They literally have been my lifesavers. We actually have our own group on Facebook. Groups like these can be friendships of a lifetime.

Re: #3 kinda scaring me.......
I am a little concerned more because of so many changes around my due date. I will be having another scheduled Csection at around 39 weeks, so my expected delivery date is 8/28, my oldest will be starting 1st grade less than a week before, and my dd will be starting kindergarten. My youngest will be 2.5 and he is a BIG mama's boy. I worry a bit how he will handle sharing mommy with a demanding new baby. I wanted another baby, but September would not have been my choice month, lol. And my mom usually comes over and helps me while I'm recovering from surgery the first 2-3 weeks. She's a teacher so she's only going to be able to take a couple days off as well. Dh works a lot and is out of town frequently. It's going to be chaos, lol.

Re: #3 kinda scaring me.......
I felt that way just before I had my third too. She's 7 months old now, and I'd not trade a trip to Disney World for her.
![]() Since I've had her, my oldest son has begun to pray that I would get pregnant with "2 more and then 1 more". He does it like he's calling in an order for pizza or something! And just this morning my 2nd son was telling me that he would like to have another baby in the house because he loves his sister so much. IDK if this helps. |

Re: #3 kinda scaring me.......
Thanks ladies for the reassurance! My daughter who is 7 is OVER THE MOON with excitement, so I know when the baby comes she will be even more excited. My 2 year old has no idea what is about to happen... ha ha!
Michelle, I can relate to your timing issue.... My sister-in-law who will stay with my older kiddos while I am in the hospital has a son who plays college soccer. Well, September is when they are in full force, and traveling all over the place! I guess my kids will have to travel with them . Sorry for your worries .Amy |

Re: #3 kinda scaring me.......
You are not alone. I have wanted #3 for a long time and now that it is happening I am a little nervous. The boys are kinda crazy and i am home with them Tuesday - Saturday night by myself. DH works evenings and i work 6:30am to 2:30pm. I know it will be a struggle when I first go back to work. When this one is born my oldest will be starting Kindergarden. There is only 27 months between the oldest two and there will be a 3 year 4 month gap between the youngest and the newest bean.
