Re: Help with baby girl name based on a nickname?
You could use a made-up name, since Rue at the end or beginning would fit a lot of names. Rue Ellen, Mairu, Solaru.... Ok, maybe there's a limited number of ideas there. But my kids jsut a met a girl yesterday with a name that either ended in -lu or -ru. Both myDH and I commented on it. I'll ask what her name was.
Also, you could use Rumer (the name of one of Demi Moore'Bruce Willis' daughters, and I think the name of an author) or Rune, as in runestone. eta: I don't know how to spell it, but the name was pronounced Day Lue. Looks weird, but sounds nice to me... Dailu, Dailue, Daylue.

Re: Help with baby girl name based on a nickname?
Thanks for the ideas ladies. I'll add them all to our list.
I figured I could at least let DH have the name he likes on the list. We usually like to use family names as either a first or middle name, so the other one this one will be considered for. Keep the names coming mamas. I'd love even more ideas. |

Kind of an older name, but I knew a lady named Runell.

Re: Help with baby girl name based on a nickname?
Are you going to use this nick name or just DH?
Reason I ask is my niece is Miranda but most call her Annie. It has to do with a song..forget name now that came out right after she was born. Her brother started calling her Annie and it stuck. I go between the two, ex(her blood relation) uses Miranda, her mom goes between the two. Her brothers and friends, my DD and her other cousins all use Annie that I know of. Just a thought that you don't have to use a name related. I like Ruth though.
