Holy Softness, Batman!

Threw fabric softener in (that free/clear/whatever Downy) with 2-dozen GMD workhorses, and oh, my goodness! WOW! Soooo silky soft! Even terry cloth came out soft!

Me likes!

Does that hinder the absorbency?

I've always read that fabric softener causes them to repel, but I never tested it out myself.

It's never made my cotton towels repel. Since my prefolds are also 100% cotton, I gave it a try. They are absorbing just fine (just like the towels). I use oxi, so I'm not worried about buildup.

Re: Holy Softness, Batman!

I've been using softener for at least a year on my fitteds and I don't have any repelling issues I use safeway green softener. (and even if it affected the absorbancy a bit, it would be worth it to me, they are THAT soft!)

I have a bounce car in my dryer at all times, and I have never had an issue with repelling! I use PF's, AIO's, pockets, fitteds, you name it lol!

Fabric softener is the bomb! I can't believe I used to be so scared of it. I use it in every load now.
