Re: dryness=TP issues

I switched to fc. Wet wipes left me slimy. Much better now.

Re: dryness=TP issues

The regular wet wipes have chemicals in them and the non-chlorine/non-chemical ones are pricey. We switched to fc for #1 for both DD and myself. We have a basket of wipes on the back of the toilet as well as a bucket to toss them in after - which is IMO easier to use & clean and more durable than a wetbag. If you go this route, get ones that you like. I have some cheapo flannel that I hate, the cotton velour is soooo worth it!!

BTW we use TP from trader joe's

if you don't want to use fc then flushable wipes is the next best thing.
If you are thinking about fc then I would get the baby wipe size to keep laundry sorting to a minimum. Also Eli's Wippes are really great you can get flannel and obv combo wipes and they are super soft.

Re: dryness=TP issues

I LOVE using family cloth. I get mine from Katedanzer. Fabulous quality!

However, if you just can't bring yourself to do it (my husband refuses to use it unless we're out of TP and he needs something NOW)... then why not get some of the flushable wipes?

God bless!

Re: dryness=TP issues

Family cloth definitely solves that problem. I find it keeps me cleaner, for #1 AND #2. Even DH eventually HAD to try it when he didn't remember to buy toilet paper for himself and he's completely converted as well! It's not gross, smelly, dirty, or anything like that. I really hate having to use the restroom anywhere but home now because I know I'll have to use TP. Yuck!

though that isn't a problem I have when pregnant! I had to go buy cloth pantyliners due to all the extra discharge. It was soaking through my underwear!
