Re: Weeky Chat 1/29-2/5
My ultrasound is this week....Friday morning! I'm already all anxious about it. I better keep myself extra busy this week so that time doesn't crawl. Can't wait to finally SEE this little one!

The Women's Health Clinic used to see you at 8 weeks--then they said 8-10, then 10, then 11-12. I actually didn't get seen until 13 weeks 2 days because they just, "couldn't fit me in before then" Anyway last time I tried to make an appointment for an anatomy u/s at this radiology department they told me in 5 weeks they could see me because they just had a cancelation. >.< Luckily I got referred to a specialist because I was having twins. My next appointment is at 17weeks 3 days and I will get to make my u/s appointment. So if it's a 6 week wait, that means I will get seen at 23 weeks 3 days--if I'm lucky. It just ticks me off that the WHC HAS to know this, and they haven't started making those appointments at your first appointment.

Re: Weeky Chat 1/29-2/5
We skipped the whole pacifier thing. We tried to get DD to take one out of desperation a few times. She had this screaming cry that could make your eardrums bleed. My SIL compared it to shrieking cats. In the end I'm glad she never took a paci because DH and I decided we'd rather not have to deal with them at all.

Ug dd had a paci until she was 2.5. :/ we finally "lost them" and it was a few rough nights getting her to bed. Ds on the other hand wouldn't ever take one! I don't know if I'll try much with this newb. But when thinkin about how dd was sleeping trough the night at 3 months and ds didn't until 14 months....I might try it a little.... Lol
Next appt. is a week from tomorrow to find out gender and I CAN'T WAIT!

Is it not good to give them a paci if you breast feed or does it not matter ?!

Re: Weeky Chat 1/29-2/5
I'm enjoying the paci talk.. I was against them for my first two kids and they wouldn't take them even when I got desperate and tried, but they have both been incredibly attached to nursing and incredibly poor sleepers for the first 2 years of their lives and I'm beginning to think the paci might be worth it for #3 if it helps my sanity even the slightest bit.
My son was so greedy for nursing that he would keep eating and eating and EATING long after he was full and then get an upset stomach and throw up everywhere. I don't really want to use the paci as a "silencer" except maybe in the car when we are really just not accessible, so I'm hoping to be disciplined about keeping it from being an all-the-time thing. I really just want some help with the constant nursing and poor sleeping now that I've already spent the last four years completely sleep deprived and will have 2 older kids to care for.
