I wouldn't let that doctor go near me again. My MIL had a vertical c-section but that was 45 years ago and that's how they did them then.

Run Run Run I am more then 50 pounds over weight always have been and my Dr. never ever suggested the gastric sleeve "since he was in there" and i don't get why he would do the other incision the vertical is more for an emergent situation rather then a repeat C

Ask for a new doctor. If you've already had one c-section why not have another incision in the same spot? I'm overweight as well and recovered just fine. Just keep the area dry with gauze or the pads they give you in the hospital and you should be fine.
