Re: Britax question

if he's willing to pay for a Blvd GET it. It has a few extra safety features and height adjustments are easier.

Definitely get the SIP if you can afford it. We have wizards for all of our kids, and I've never once had to turn around and see them asleep with their heads cocked at painful angles. Whats a little more protection, anyhow?

Re: Britax question

we have the BLVD and while the wings are for SIP i love it bc if he falls asleep in it his neck istn all funky...in our car it dosent have side air bags so the SIP was a big deciding factor.

Re: Britax question

I am confused as to why so many are saying "not the Decathlon". It is just a fancier Marathon, so if you like the Marathon there is no reason not to like the Decathlon.

I have 2 Decathlons for my son and 2 Regents for my daughter. I love them! I went with the Decathlons because I wanted an adjustable crotch strap.

Re: Britax question

we have a marathon and took it to the local fire department for them to check it out when we got it. . .they said how good it was that it did not have any pillows, etc. . . if you want something to keep babe's head from lolling to the side then it is best to take a receiving blanket, roll it up and tuck it between baby and the side of the seat - never behind the baby.

Re: Britax question

The padding is ok as long as it comes with the carseat, it should not be added after though. Personally the decathalons that I've played with have been a real pain to tighten. I like the seat overall, but I do not like the adjuster. Some of them are fine and some are a pain. Unfortunately you won't know which yours is going to be until you go to put a child in it!! Also, it really is just a fancy marathon, it doesn't have true SIP like the blvd. I would either get a marathon and use rolled up receiving blankets, or if I didn't have side curtain airbags and the baby would be outboard I would get the blvd for the SIP. The decathalon just doesn't do anything that the marathon doesn't, yet it costs more!
