Re: The fabric softener list. :D
Vaska
We have sandy's, grovia AIO's, BG pockets with microfiber inserts, and cotton velour fitteds. No repelling, no issues. And it smells and works better than Ecover. |

Re: The fabric softener list. :D
FYI Purex Crystals is not a fabric softener, it is just a laundry enhancer to add additional scent to clothes, especially if you use an unscented detergent. I make homemade laundry soap for our clothes, so I use it on them to give them a scent we miss.
I'm going to try to get some Ecover or Mrs Meyers this weekend and see what it does for my prefolds. They aren't a soft as I would like them to be, so hopefully it works. Does anyone know if either of those are safe for a septic system? |

Giving this a little bump because I recently tried Method fresh air scent and it's gross! I line dried the other day and had to rewash everything the smell was so bad! I've had good results with Ecover pink cap, can't find yellow local. Tomorrow I try Snuggle. Worst case is I have to strip sometime down the line. But I'm a bleach lover and use regular detergent too...

Re: The fabric softener list. :D
Thank you for this thread. I thought softener would ruin my prefolds, so I haven't been using any. Now that I see this, I'm going to try & find some ecover or 7th generation (hopefully at a local store) & try it out!

Re: The fabric softener list. :D
I use Ecover with the pink cap and I really like it. Once my current bottle is gone I am going to try seventh generation. I was able to find some at Albertson's and it is cheaper than the Ecover and you get more. I'd like to try Mrs. Meyer's, but it is $8.99 for a 30 load bottle and I'm just not willing to pay that much.
