Re: HE Washing...What's your method?

One cold rinse spin with no detergent.
One heavy duty cycle with a hot heavy stain setting (this isn't a sanitize cycle), and two cold rinse cycles.

I use Charlies Soap, and pre treat microfiber inserts with Bac Out. Only use Bac Out or Spray N Wash on poopy diapers.

Since switching from Country Save, and Bio Klean to Charlie's I have not needed to run second cycle with our diapers. I have a mix of Flip organic prefolds, Gerber prefolds, a Bummis Tot Bot, and Fuzzi Bunz.

Warm soak cycle with nothing low spin
Hot heavy wash with RnG and vinegar, high spin
Then to the line or dryer

Warm/warm quick wash, no detergent, no spin.
Hot/cold wash on bulky setting, heavy soil level, prewash, extra rinse.
Throw it all in the dryer.

My Mood:
Rinse and spin (I'll hit the extra rinse button if it's a big load)
Heavy duty cycle with Tide and an extra rinse

Throw the inserts in the dryer for 40/50 minutes, then the shells. I air dry them when I can.

Been doing that for well over a year and haven't had any problems.

Re: HE Washing...What's your method?

DS's poops often aren't ploppable. I don't dunk, swish, or spray, so if there are diapers with lots of poop on them, the whole load gets a Rinse & Spin. If there are no excessively poopy diapers in the load, then I skip it.

Then a Regular cold wash with regular detergent and an extra rinse. Everything goes in the dryer on Delicate, or I hang everything, depending on my mood.

I'm noticing that no one is doing a sanitize cycle. Is there a reason for this?

Re: HE Washing...What's your method?

I think some worry te sanitize cycle is too hard and may damage the dipes. I use it but sparingly and haven't had any issues.

My routine.
Rinse and spin with extra water on cold
Heavy duty wash with Charlie's and 1/4 cup bleach, extra water, extra rinse on hot
Speed wash, extra water, on hot

Sanitize cycle is very hot, and while you do want hot water to wash your diapers with, sanitize is even hotter than "hot". It can potentially ruin the PUL on your diapers.
Hot cycle is plenty

I use sanitize and have since I started diapering 3.5 years ago. I do a normal wash on cold, then sanitize with an extra rinse. No issues and I have all kinds of diapers. I have an LG set and wash with tide.
